Overall above normal temperatures are being observed in the country which may lead to severe weather conditions for next two weeks in the country followed by pre-monsoon rain from mid of June. Spokesman of Pakistan Meteorological Department, Dr Khalid Mahmood Malik, said that due to high temperature ratio evaporation was also quite high which might lead to pre-monsoon from mid of June while monsoon would also likely to advent in last week of June.
"This year mostly normal rains are forecast during the monsoon but more showers are likely in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern parts of the country whereas lesser downpours are predicted in Southern parts," he told APP. This year the rainy season might be divided into two parts, he informed, adding that during the first span more rains were predicted while in the later one less wet spells might hit various parts of the country.
