Robberies and motor vehicle thefts remain on the rise in the federal capital as the city police registered over 10 cases of various kinds of thefts and six cases of carjacking during the last week. According to data collected by Business Recorder here on Saturday through registered first information reports (FIRs), various police stations of the city also registered four cases of kidnapping and three cases of murder during the aforementioned period. Crime hotspots were within the limits of Koral, Khanna, Industrial Area, and Kohsar police stations.
During the last week, Koral police station registered two cases each of kidnapping and robbery. One Khurram Shahzad informed Koral police station that accused Khizer has kidnapped his wife. Another Nisar Ahmad filed a complaint with Koral police station that unknown robbers stole cash, gold ornaments and an LCD from his house.
Similarly, One Aqib Mujtaba of Gulberg Town informed Koral police station that three armed persons snatched cash and three cell phones from him and his two friends at gunpoint. In another incident, a victim Azhar Hussain filed a complaint with Koral police station that accused Adeel has kidnapped his daughter. Industrial Area police station registered two cases each of robbery during the aforementioned period. One Abdul Qayyum filed a complaint with Industrial Area police station that two unknown persons snatched cash, computerized national identity card (CNIC) and other valuables from him at gunpoint.
In another incident, one Qalbe Abbas filed a complaint with Industrial Area police station that unidentified persons stole a cell phone and cash from his house. During the period, Khanna police station registered two cases of murder. The police recovered a dead body of an unidentified person from a stream who was killed with a sharp edged weapon. One Bhat Muneer filed a complaint with Khanna police station that his brother Arshad has been killed by Aurangzeb along with others.
During the period, Karachi Company police station registered two cases of auto theft. The thieves stole a bike of Inamullah and left another bike there, bearing registration GAK-1619 of M Sarfraz. Kohsar police station registered one case each of robbery and auto theft. The thieves stole a car bearing registration number KV-968 of one M Zulfiqar. Another Shams filed a complaint that unknown persons stole a laptop from his house. During the last week, Margalla and Shahzad Towns police stations registered one case each of robbery.
