Mushahid elected Senate body chief

Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs on Friday elected Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed as its chairman unopposed. The name of Mushahid Hussain Sayed was proposed by Senator Javed Abbasi and seconded by Senator Nuzhat Sadiq. As no other candidate contested; hence, he was elected unopposed.
The members of the committee congratulated him upon his election as the chairman and hoped that the parliamentary panel would play a constructive role in guiding the government on pursuing an effective foreign policy. Mushahid Hussain Sayed also thanked the members and hoped that they would extend full support to ensure constructive contribution and parliamentary input to the country's foreign policy.
