On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,442. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 5.319 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,926.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.493 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.459 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 825.017 million, silver PKR 586.979 million, platinum PKR 302.971 million, NSDQ100 PKR 223.265 million, DJ PKR 210.209 million, natural gas PKR 113.974 million, copper PKR 61.300 million, SP500 PKR 43.193 million and Brent PKR 0.597 million. In agricultural commodities, 4lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.955 million were traded.
