On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,330. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.028 billion and the number of lots traded was 15,403. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.827 billion followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.888 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.007 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 785.327 million, silver PKR 495.824 million, DJ PKR 481.043 million, platinum PKR 215.535 million, SP500 PKR 138.884 million, Brent crude oil PKR 80.968 million, natural gas PKR 66.024 million and copper PKR 41.454 million.
In agricultural commodities, 22 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 26.764 million were traded.
