Ukraine's December steel output seen at 1.8mn tonnes

KIEV: Ukraine expects to increase steel production to 1.8 million tonnes in December from 1.66 million tonnes in November, steelmakers' union Ukrmetallurgprom said on Thursday.

Steel production totalled 19.2 million tonnes in the first 11 months of this year, around 2 percent less than in the same period a year ago.

Ukraine's steel production fell by 12 percent last year to 21.3 million tonnes in 2017.
