A larger bench of the Lahore High Court on Monday accepted unconditional apology of former president of Multan high court bar association Sher Zaman Qureshi and discharged contempt of court proceedings against him. Former Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah had initiated the proceedings against him and another lawyer last year. Both the lawyers on Monday tendered their unconditional apology before the larger bench and the same was accepted.
The former chief justice had initiated contempt proceedings against Sher Zaman Qureshi and Syed Qaiser Abbas Kazmi advocates whom misbehaved a judge of the LHC at Multan bench and ransacking the court premises.
