Pakistan Coach Mickey Arthur has identified Hussain Talat, Asif Ali, Agha Salman and Shaheen Shah Afridi as the find of Pakistan Super League-III (PSL-III). Talking to media, Mickey said, "Hussain Talat played some really good inning, Asif Ali has shown to be a very explosive hitter, we need to have another closer look at him, I have heard that Agha Salman play really well."
About the performance of fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mickey complemented the 17-year-old by putting him in the league of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. "Shaheen Afridi is going to be a good bowler, this is the guy we need to get into our emerging system so that we can work really hard with him and if we can put a couple of years into him, he is going to be exceptional," he said, adding, "I have the privilege of seeing Mitchel Stark when he was very young. There is a very close resemblance between them. He just needs right coaching, the right training, he is going to be a star." About Kamran Akmal, Mickey said, "To play international cricket you have got to be able to do three disciplines very well. He (Akmal) was poor in the field in the last West Indies tour."
Responding to a question, Arthur said that he chose Amir to lead Kings in the game against Zalmi as he wanted to give another Pakistan player an opportunity to lead a team.
"By giving Amir an opportunity we gave another Pakistan player an opportunity to lead a team. Perhaps we have found something near to his character which he can take forward," he added.
Moreover, all-rounder Shahid Afridi told media that the PSL franchise owners should refrain from drafting foreign players who are unwilling to come to Pakistan for the tournament.
The former skipper said foreign players coming to Pakistan for the PSL was imperative for the return of international cricket to the country. "Holding PSL matches in Lahore and Karachi will send a positive message to the world. The message that security is excellent in Pakistan needs to be conveyed," Afridi stressed. He added the upcoming tour of West Indies to Pakistan was a step in the right direction. West Indies will play a three-match T20I series in Karachi on April 1, 2 and 3.
