On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,235. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.197 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,689.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.020 billion followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.326 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 713.199million, DJ PKR 558.645 million, silver PKR 221.714 million, NSDQ100 PKR 129.455 million, platinum PKR 86.821 million, natural gas PKR 57.629 million SP500 PKR 48.117 million, copper PKR 29.083 million, and Brent crude oil PKR 6.403 million. In agricultural commodities, 2 lot of cotton amounting to PKR 0.924 million was traded.
