Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) free eye camps were formally launched at THQ (Tehsil Headquarter) Hospital Fateh Jang. Zahid Mir MD/CEO OGDCL was the chief guest of the ceremony, says a press release issued here on Thursday.
The event was attended by Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Ex-Minister Defence, as guest of honor, Lieutenant General (Retd) Hamid Javed, President Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital as distinguished guest of the ceremony, senior management of OGDCL and Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital was also present on the occasion with Abdul Rauf Khajjak GM(Corporate Social Responsibility) OGDCL, Col(Retd) Tariq Hanif GM(Security) OGDCL, Farrukh Aftab GM(RMD) OGDCL, Brigadier (Retd) Rizwan Ullah Asghar, Executive Director, Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Mian Mahfooz Elahi, Trustee, Al-shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Dr Tayyab Afghani, Consultant Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital. Delegates from district and local administration Sardar Mukhtar Khan Chairman Union Council Ajuwala, Tehsil Fateh Jang, District Attock, Abid Daud Khan, Chairman Muincipal Committee, Tehsil Fateh Jang, District Attock, Ali Khan also attended the event.
OGDCL under its Corporate Social Responsibility program has launched a health initiative scheme named OGDCL Free Eye Camps with Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi. The three day Eye Camps are being established at 27 locations across the country with 02 subsequent follow up camps at the same locations. In the three day eye camp, OPDs, glasses, medicines and laser surgeries (including cataract-Motia) will be conducted by doctors/specialists of Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospitals fully funded by OGDCL for the local population residing in and around OGDCL fields and Operational areas.
While addressing the occasion, after a visit to the OGDCL Free Eye Camp OPDs and operation theater, chief guest Zahid Mir MD/CEO OGDCL assured his commitment to social welfare/CSR and uplift of marginalized communities residing in and around OGDCL's operational areas. Zahid Mir informed the ceremony about OGDCL mega CSR projects in Health, Education, and water supply schemes particularly in District Attock and generally in the whole county. The guest of honor, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan graciously thanked MD/CEO OGDCL for establishment of the camp. Lieutenant General (Retd) Hamid Javed also shared his remarks at the occasion reaffirming his commitment for the collaboration with OGDCL for this noble cause.-PR
