On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,344. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.791 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,031. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.540 billion, followed by copper PKR 1.452 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.085 billion, DJ PKR 591.991 million, platinum PKR 293.030 million, WTI crude oil PKR 259.674 million, NSDQ100 PKR 240.196 million, silver PKR 205.178 million, SP500 PKR 59.669 million, Brent crude oil PKR 32.848 million and natural gas PKR 31.276 million.
In agricultural commodities, 48 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 20.868 million were traded.
