KMC cuts parks' entrance fee

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has decided to reduce entrance fee structure of various recreational facilities including Safari Park, Karachi Zoo, Landhi Zoo, Ameer Khosro Park, Hill Park, Polo Ground etc to attract visitors, with immediate effect. The decision came from Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar in a meeting with KMC officials here at his office on Friday.
As per the new fee structure, children below 3-year age and senior citizens (over 65-year) would be exempted from entrance fee. They can avail all the KMC-run recreational facilities free of cost, whereas, students have been given a concession of 50 percent of the actual entrance fees.
