On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,371. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4,545 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,731.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS (PKR 1.381 billion) followed by gold amounting to PKR 1.287 billion, silver PKR 524.639 million, DJ PKR 472.398 million, NSDQ100 PKR 262.663 million, WTI crude oil PKR 228.976 million, platinum PKR 156.162 million, SP500 PKR 107.964 million natural gas PKR 94.205 million, copper PKR 22.708 million and Brent crude oil PKR 6.241 million. In agricultural commodities 60 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 26.138 million were traded.
