On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,100. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.888 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,885. Major business was contributed by gold PKR 2.228 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.340 billion, currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.052 billion, DJIA PKR 491.907 million, silver PKR 355.378 million, copper PKR 152.125 million, platinum PKR 102.566 million, NSDQ100 PKR 73.413 million, natural gas PKR 45.633 million, Brent crude oil PKR 31.734 million and SNP500 PKR 13.974million.
In agricultural commodities 8,100 lots of red chili amounting to PKR 1.458 million were traded.
