The weekend served the football fraternity in Quetta with a bumper joy to whet their appetites when the final round of PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2017 saw the biggest victory achieved by Quetta City defeating Jaffarabad with 11 goals.
Despite getting four freekicks in the match, Jaffarabad in green and white couldn't score a single goal at their home ground while Quetta City wearing green and black scored 4 goals in the first half while the rest were made in the second half. It was a one-sided match right from the beginning that resulted in 11-0.
Record goal scorer Muhammad Ali of Quetta City with excellent performance was declared the Man of the Match. Ali received the award from the chief guest of the match, General Secretary Pakistan Football Federation, Haji Saeed.
Both DFA Quetta escorting in red and Nushki wearing yellow missed a host of chances as they played out a 2-2 draw at an overall entertaining and good football game. Arzalan Khan was declared the Man of the Match, who received the award from the chief guest of the match, former provincial minister, Babu Raheem Mengal. Both the matches were played at the Yazdan Khan High School Ground, Quetta.
A total of 19 matches will be played in the final round including the semi-finals on March 31 and final on April 2 in Quetta. The event is being organised in collaboration with Government of Balochistan, Pakistan Football Federation and Balochistan Football Association.-PR
