High Commissioner of Kenya Professor Julius Kibet Bitok has said that there is no restriction on any Pakistani's visit to Kenya as they have very liberal policy of issuing visa on arrival at the airport. Discussing matters related to enhancing bilateral trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Kenya during meeting at Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and industry (FPCCI), he extended an open invitation to members to visit Kenya.
Vice President FPCCI, Irfan Ahmed Sarwana elaborated the activities of FPCCI in promoting the bilateral relations and stated that Pakistan is very keen to strengthen trade ties and exploring new bilateral trade prospects as there is a huge potential to further enhance bilateral trade relations existing between the two countries.
Both countries are enjoying diplomatic relations since 1960s and bilateral trade between both countries is growing steadily and stood at US $628 million which is in favour of Kenya, he added. Pakistan imports 40 percent of its tea requirement from Kenya; which is the third largest after Egypt and UK. Sarwana emphasised on the need to exchange trade delegations and hold exhibitions for displaying their products on reciprocal basis.
