The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Youth Affairs, Sports, Archaeology & Tourism (YASAT)'s joint project "Chief Minister's e-Rozgaar Program" has received enthusiastic response by registering 33,105 applications from the young graduates. The applicants were regularly advised and replied through emails regarding their queries. The application data reveals that 16 Phd, 1,794 MPHiL, 15,574 Masters, 15,143 graduates and 578 B.Tech (Honours) have applied for this program.
The gender wise summary reveals that 23,815 (71.9 percent) male and 9290 (28.1 percent) female applied for this program. The district wise data of the applications shows that Lahore remained on the highest side by filing 4,946 applications, followed by Faisalabad 3,255, Multan 2,248, Rawalpindi 2,023, Bhawalpur 1,430, Gujranwala 1,268, Sargodha 1,222 and Rahimyar Khan 1,026 applications.
Applications from Attock, Bhawalnagar, Bhakkar, Chiniot, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Jhang Jehlum, Kasur, Khanewal, Khushab, Layyah, Lodhran, Mandi Bhauddin, Mianwali, Muzzaffargarh, Nankana Sahib, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Rajanpur, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh and Vehari were also received.
On the basis of merit, selected candidates will be given three months training for freelance self-employment at 40 training centers by high profile trainers. Among these centers five centers are dedicated for female candidates. In the first phase 10,000 candidates will be trained in three different batches in one year. These centers are being established in 11 universities of the Punjab. The training will enable the youth to generate income approximately from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 80,000 per month while working from home.
The Chief Minister's e-Rozgaar Training Program partners envision minimising unemployment and providing young professionals with the necessary means to earn an honourable earning online by collaborating with institutions and organisations that share the same vision. e-Rozgaar Program aims to replicate its model of knowledge based recruitment which is credible globally. It will guide network partners in implementing the model.
