Chairman, Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), Khalid Mahmood has said the issue between the Board and stakeholders would be resolved soon and the SRB would hold meetings separately with representatives of each sector from next week. Speaking at a meeting of Site Association of Industry (SAI), he further said the SRB is a business-friendly authority and will settle this matter on priority basis. There are some issues of few sectors which need attention.
He further asked to association to send their budget proposals to the SRB within a week. Commenting on concerns expressed by the meeting participants over the issuance of different types of SRB notices to the industries, SRB chairman said that the matter will be taking up in SRB next meeting. On the occasion he nominated Mushtaque Kazimi as focal person to co-ordinate between SITE Association and SRB. Asad Nisar briefed chairman SRB about the SITE Association and the problems faced by the industries due to different types of notices issued by SRB. Keeping in view the grievances being faced by relevant businessmen, president SITE Association requested the SRB to stop sending notices to manufacturers who have already registered with FBR.
Zubair Motiwala appreciated numerous initiatives taken by the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) towards enhancing the revenue collection of Sindh province. He asked to SRB chief to form a committee to resolve the problems of Industrialists of SITE. SRB Tax Policy Advisor, Syed Mushtaq Kazimi, while underscoring the need to ensure stakeholders' participation in the decision-making process, informed that it has always been SRB's intention to develop better understanding and co-ordination with the representatives of business and industrial community. He further said that we have SRB Advisory Council which is headed by Chief Minister Sindh. He further said that EOBI issue not resolved yet and they have no relation with SRB.-PR
