The provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) and former chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said that terrorism cannot be eliminated until and unless Fata merges into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing party workers at Hujra (male guest house) of Imran Afridi, Bara Kamber Khel of tehsil Bara on Thursday Haider Hoti said that the tribal belt had been neglected and deliberately left underdeveloped for long and added that peace, stability and development of the county is directly related to the development and stability of the tribal belt.
Mr Hoti said that Punjab was on the top of the priority list of Imran's Politics as without the support of Punjab he could not ascend to the portfolio of Prime Minster of the country. He asked the neighbouring countries to disband all militant wings operating in the area to restore peace and stability in the region.
Expressing his dissatisfaction over the trust deficit between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Mr Hoti demanded of the incumbent federal government to take all steps necessary to restore friendly atmosphere between two brotherly neighboring countries. Time has come to heal wounds of the tribesmen who rendered unprecedented sacrifices in the war on terror during the last decade, he remarked.
He supported the call of Fata parliamentarians and tribesmen to stage a sit in protest in Islamabad and asked ANP workers to join them in their sit in as the party had been a staunch supporter for securing basic rights of the people of Tribal belt.
He stressed upon all mainstream political parties to make sincere efforts toward liberating tribesmen from the shackles of the brutal law of FCR, secure them an honourable status and award them the incentives and privileges being enjoyed by other countrymen.
