Tribal leaders of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) have opposed the merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and vowed to strongly resist any such attempt at every forum.
He was talking to media persons, JUI-F Fata Ameer Mufti Abdul Shakoor Betani during a visit to Hujra (male guest house) of General Secretary JUI-F, Fata Mufti Ijaz Shinwari to condole with him over death of his cousin in tribal Khyber Agency on Sunday.
Flanked by Secretary Information, Fata Ahmad Saeed Dawar, deputy secretary information, Qari Jihad Shah and Ameer JUI-F, Landi Kotal Qari Mujahid he said that repatriation and rehabilitation of hundreds of thousands of Temporary Displaced Persons (TDPs) was the primary concern that need to be addressed.
