Australian High Commissioner Margaret Adamson Thursday visited Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). On her visit to PSX, a ceremony was held at main trading hall of the Exchange. The High Commissioner rang the traditional opening bell. Talking to reporters on this occasion, the Australian High Commissioner said booming Pakistan Capital Market is expected to attract more foreign investors.
She said the bilateral trade between Pakistan and Australia is moving towards right direction. She said bilateral trade between the two countries is expected to further increase. PSX Managing Director Nadeem Naqvi welcomed the guests and briefed them about the performance of the Pakistan Capital Market. Nadeem Naqvi told reporters that PSX is planning to hold more road shows in different countries to attract more foreign investors. He said the schedule of these road shows would be finalized with the consultation of Chinese Consortium, who is now one of the major stakeholders after acquiring 40 percent stake of PSX. PSX board members, senior management and officials of Australian High Commission also attended this event.
