Iqbal Qasim needs no second introduction. The hero of Bangalore played 50 test matches for Pakistan and secured 171 wickets at a miserly average. Qasim, on his credit, also has one shy of thousand first class wickets. He has also served as the Chairman of PCB selection committee multiple times. This is what the former left arm spinner thinks of the PSL second edition:
It is expected that the second edition of PSL will be much improved than the previous one. Top players from around the world are expected to take part and the production would be more glamorized.
If we manage to hold the final in Lahore and leading players from current playing countries participate, than one can be optimistic for resumption of international cricket in Pakistan. Lahore Qalandars on paper appears to be the strongest contender this time around for lifting the trophy. If we give chances to best performers of our domestic cricket ie T20 and ODI, this will help create health competition at local level and our standard will also improve when these players play or practice with foreign players.
