Chairman of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), Syed Mustafa Kamal has called for decentralisation of system, devolution of powers and reforms at grassroots level to resolve the issues and ensure basic amenities to people across the country. Addressing a news conference at press club here on Tuesday, PSP chairman reiterated the party stance to serve the nation and resolve public issues at their doorsteps.
"Our mission to visit door to door across the country is to convey the party message and listen public grievance, Kamal said. He vowed to continue fight against forces dividing the people on ethnic, linguistic, colour and race basis in the country.
Along with PSP vice chairman Wasim Aftab and other office bearers, he said the anti-state elements want to separate the people by creating rift among them, but we will not tolerate any fragmentation and segregation, he warned. He said the party was not aimed to gain votes in elections, but to resolve the public issue on priority basis.
He said still the recruitment process is on political basis in police and other government departments in Karachi and elsewhere in the county. He said the system can not be changed with replacement of Prime Minister or Chief Minister, but it was inevitable to bring reforms at grassroots level.
He informed that they had visited to Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab already, now paying visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wherein the party has completed organisational setup in 7 division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as formed several committees.
Kamal said, "Our agenda isn't to criticise US or any government, but to raise the issue of health, education and provision of basic amenities to general public, job opportunities for youth and a secure future to next generation." We are heading toward stunted economic growth, which is quit alarming for the country. He asked the MQM Pakistan leaders to join him for welfare of the masses.
He emphasised for decentralisation of the current administrative system, reforms in police, education, health sector, as well as administrative and financial autonomy of institutions across the country. We will not allow further division of people, he said.
He said, unfortunately nobody is ready to own Pakistan and the sense of ownership can only come from active participation.
Due to centralised system in Karachi, Chief Minister Sindh and a Minister are running affairs of more than 34,000 education institutions, but despite spending huge funds of Rs 700 billion, no single model school was being established in Karachi, he told.
When asked about arrival of Saleem Shahzad in Karachi, he said Shahzad didn't approach them, because he has no affiliation with Pak Sarzameen Party. Commenting on revelations about PSP through video message viral in social media, he told that he had neither believed nor listened such video message. He called the MQM London chief Altaf Hussain as 'Raw agent', who was involved in misguiding the youth and people.
He said the Pakistan Rangers operation against militant elements and outfits organisations in Karachi was remained successfully, however, he added that the prolonged operation has lost its worth and value.
