Model girl Ayyan Ali's desire to go abroad remained unfulfilled as the Interior Ministry has challenged Sindh High Court's (SHC) decision of taking her name out of Exit Control List (ECL) in Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC). The Interior Ministry has said in its application to SC that High Court does not have any right to hear this matter.
According to Interior Ministry, Ayyan's name was put in ECL on the request of Punjab Home Department but High Court gave its verdict without listening to its stance whereas referee judge has also not mentioned the reasons. The plea further demanded the court to take notice and include Ayyan Ali's named in the ECL. Meanwhile, a local citizen Iqbal Haider also submitted a request asking to identify the guidelines regarding putting names of accused in ECL.
