Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) and Muslim World League (MWL) have agreed on carrying out joint struggle for resolution of confronting challenges to Muslim Ummah as well as for annihilation of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence.
Addressing at a seminar organised by the PUC and chaired by Secretary General Muslim World League Dr Muhammad bin Abdul Kareem Al-Issa, different speakers resolved that the entire Pakistan is united and committed for defence and security of Harmain Al-Sharifain. They said that a deep understanding prevails between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for annihilation of terrorism and extremism, adding that Pakistan will not remain indifferent in face of any threat to Saudi Arabia.
The participants of the seminar also resolved to constitute an 'Ideological Alliance' comprising Ulema, intellectuals and Muslim religious scholars for eradication of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence.
The seminar was also attended by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdullah Marzouk Al Zahrani, Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Advisor on National Security Lieutenant General Nasir Janjua(Retd), and ambassadors of Kuwait, Qatar and UAE, Yemen and Palestine, besides reputed dignitaries of different countries including Norway, Tajikistan, Australia and Bahrain.
Dr Muhammad bin Abdul Kareem Al-Issa addressing the seminar stated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been making constant endeavours for unity of Muslim Ummah and Harmain Al-Sharifain which are centres of Muslim unity and religious loyalty and where every Muslim contrary to sectarian differences turns to Allah Almighty for worship.
Islam is a religion of peace and security and gives the message of harmony and patience for the entire humanity and stresses to fulfil rights of non-Muslims, women, children and parents, said Dr Muhammad bin Abdul kareem Al-Issa. He added that associating Islam and Muslim with terrorism and extremism is wrong interpretation of Islam. Teachings of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be upon Him) categorically define rights of non-Muslims, Al-Issa added.
He maintained that Ulema and clerics of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are jointly making endeavours for eradication of terrorism and extremism, while security institutes of both the countries are committed to security and defence of humanity. Lauding the role and services of people and security forces of Pakistan for elimination of terrorism, he said that terrorists have no affiliation with any particular religion. Making bombardment on innocent people is the biggest terrorism, said Muhammad bin Abdul kareem Al-Issa.
He said people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy the bond of eternal brotherhood and loyalty, adding the people of Saudi Arabia, Khadim-e-Harmain Al-Sharifain Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz and his Crown Prince feel proud of brotherly friendship with the people of Pakistan.
Sartaj Aziz said that endeavours of Muslim World League for unity of Muslim Ummah are praiseworthy. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have unanimous stance on issues of Palestine, Kashmir and other confronting challenges of Muslim world.
He said the leadership of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are making joint efforts for elimination of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence. He said that terrorists are defaming Islam and Muslims the world over, adding that Muslim Ummah is passing through a crucial phase. He said amidst this scenario, Muslim World League should play its proactive role for unity, stability and peace. Ulema of Pakistan and leadership of Muslim World League should play their crucial role in maintaining peace and harmony to come over challenges of Muslim countries, said Sartaj Aziz.
Nasir Janjua addressing the seminar stated that enemies of Muslims and Islam are hatching conspiracies to divide Muslim world on sectarian grounds, adding that Muslim World should demonstrate unity to contain all these conspiracies. He urged the religious scholars and clerics to educate Muslim youth against propaganda of terrorist and extremist organisations. Terrorists and extremists are making propaganda regarding Jehad and Ulema should come forward with explicit stance to spoil their nefarious designs, said Janjua.
Janjua said that Islam does not allow killing of innocent people and Muslim World League should come forward for proper guidance of Muslim countries. He hoped that secretary general of Muslim World League will play his proactive role in this regard.
Abdullah Marzouk Al Zahrani was of the view that unity of Muslim Ummah is the sole and ultimate panacea to tackle confronting challenges of Muslim Ummah. He said Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are jointly making endeavours for eradication of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence.
Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi said that terrorists have no affiliation with any religion, adding that killers of humanity have no association with any religion. He said that terrorists committing attacks in Jeddha, Peshawar and Quetta are alike.
He said the newly elected US President Donald Trump has announced to shift US Consulate in Jerusalem, and this act on part of US administration will undermine peace of the world, adding that Muslim world will never tolerate this US initiative. It will be honour for Pakistan if General Raheel Sharif(Retd) is deputed to head the Islamic Military Alliance, said Ashrafi. He also resolved to constitute an Ideological Alliance to contain menace of IS and other terrorist organisations.
The seminar also adopted a resolution commending joint efforts of Pakistani and Saudi security forces in eradication of terrorism and message of Religious Ministry of Saudi Arabia for spreading moderate message of Islam across the globe.
The office-bearers of Pakistan Ulema Council Maulana Ayub Safdar, Maulana Abdul Hameed Wattoo, Maulana Abdul Hameed Sabri, Maulana Nauman Hashir, Maulana Tahir Aqeel and Allama Ibtisam Ealhi Zaheer on special invitation also attended the seminar.
