Police on Saturday arrested at least 8 suspects in connection with rape and torture of a 6-year-old girl in Karachi. Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar has taken suo motu notice of the incident, directing Sindh inspector general of police, AD Khawaja, to submit a report.
Police said at suspects apprehended yesterday have recorded their statements in police custody. On the other hand, doctors said health of the minor girl is improving. The girl, abducted from Korangi area, was subjected to sexual assault before being dumped by a garbage dump with her throat cut. She was rushed to Civil Hospital, where she underwent a surgery. The police raided Korangi area, traced the girl's parents and arrested several suspects.
