Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said construction work of Golimar Underpass will be completed by the 15th of this month after which surrounding areas of Golimar Underpass would get rid of traffic gridlock. "I have this desire that this underpass was named after a renowned personality."
He expressed these views while talking to media representatives after inspecting the development works of Golimar Underpass on Saturday. He was accompanied by the DMC Central Chairman Rehan Hashmi, Municipal Commissioner Dr Badar Jameel, Sr Director MS Masood Alam, DG Technical Services Shahab Anwer and others. Mayor Karachi said this Rs 450million worth underpass has a total length of 375 meter and 8 meter width and its construction was delayed for some time. He also directed that good standard and durability should be ensured in the construction of this underpass and during development works around this project. He said the installation of pedestrian bridge will also be started just after completion of this project.
