Gazprom has increased gas output by 6.8pc so far this year

MOSCOW: Russian gas giant Gazprom has increased its gas output by 6.8 percent in the last nine and a half months and expects overall production this year to be close to 500 billion cubic metres, RIA news agency said, citing the firm's chief executive.

The TASS news agency, also citing Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, said the company had increased gas deliveries to non-CIS countries by 8 billion cubic metres in the past nine and a half months.
