For this purpose, he said housing schemes are being initiated in all districts where facilities including educational institutions, hospitals, utilities, roads, parks, mosques and play grounds will also be provided to the people.
The Special Assistant said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is facing shortage of 2.2 million residential houses and with increase in population the demand is also increasing, which resulting in the shortage of residential facilities and increase in the rent of the house. He said that on one hand fertile agriculture land is being used for construction of houses and housing colonies and on the other hand due to lack of planning slum areas are also on rise, which besides creating health, education and communication problems are also increasing crimes and unemployment.
Amjad Ali Khan said general public and government employees are being provided houses at cheaper rate through bank financing under 'Zamung Khpal Kor Scheme' in the province.
