Algeria to buy 50,000 tonnes of milling wheat

Algeria's state grains agency OAIC has issued an international tender to buy optional-origin soft milling wheat, European traders said on Monday. The tender sought a nominal 50,000 tonnes but Algeria often buys considerably more in its tenders than the nominal volume sought. Tender deadline is Thursday, January 5, they said. The wheat was sought for shipment in March, they said. Algeria bought about 490,000 tonnes of optional-origin wheat for shipment in February in its last soft wheat tender reported on December 15.
