Designate Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has said that there is no pressure on judiciary and judges should dispense justice with patience on merit. Justice Nisar said bar is a complete institution but today there is dearth of training and etiquettes among the lawyers. He said today there is no special regard for seniors in the bar. He said we should try to bring back our old traditions and ensure respect for seniors in the bar. He was addressing lawyers at the Lahore High Court Bar Association.
He would never compromise on principles rule of law would be his aim. He said hardworking is the real strength of anybody. He said through shortcuts, one can get temporary benefit but real goal never be achieved through it. He promised to the lawyers that he would not compromise in fulfilling his responsibilities and would not disappoint the bar.
He said appointments of judges are the base of solidarity of the judicial institution. He said judges of the superior courts should be hard working and articulate. He said the lawyers should promise of not disturbing the judges and in return he takes responsibility of delivering justice. LHCBA President Rana Zia Abdul Rehman responding to the designate chief justice said that lawyers learnt closing the doors of the courts during their movement for restoration of judiciary. He said there are huge responsibilities on the shoulders of Justice Nisar as matter of panama-gate is pending before the SC.
