Shahbaz says Pakistan's is better than before at international level
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that situation of the country has substantially improved during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-N and people are witness to improvement in different walks of life. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, zero tolerance policy has been adopted against corruption which has resulted in transparency in government affairs, eradication of corruption and improvement in service delivery besides image of the country has improved at international level.
He said that the solid efforts made for the eradication of corruption on behalf of the government are also being appreciated at global level. He said that transparency and merit are hallmark of present government. Recruitments have been made only on merit in all departments including police, he added.
Shahbaz Sharif said that billions of rupees have been saved in development projects first time in the history of the country and all mega projects are proof to transparency in development projects. He said that ensuring transparency at every level is among top priorities of PML-N government. Effective steps have been taken for the promotion of transparency and merit and elimination of corruption, he added.
The Chief Minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government is free from corruption and no one can raise finger on transparency in development projects. He said that a new trend has been promoted by completing projects with transparency and high standard and Rs 112 billion of the nation have been saved by ensuring transparency in three gas-based power plants being set up in the province. He said that zero tolerance against corruption from lower level to upper level is yielding better results. He said that Pakistan is the only country in South Asia making successful efforts for eliminating corruption.
He said that US Journal "Foreign Policy" has also lauded effective steps of the present government against corruption. Shahbaz Sharif said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, solid steps are being taken for coping with the challenges faced by the country and each and every penny of national exchequer is being spent on welfare of the people honestly. He said that we are moving forward with new determination and spirit for progress of the country and prosperity of the people and Pakistan will achieve the goal of progress and prosperity by following golden principles of hard work and honesty.
He said that thousands of megawatt electricity will be added to national grid with the completion of energy projects by the end of 2017 which will result in elimination of load-shedding.
He said that with the completion of gas-based power projects, not only 3600 megawatt electricity will be generated but the consumers will also get cheap electricity.
