CoAS visits Deputy Speaker's Chamber

Chief of Army General Raheel Sharif Thursday visited the chamber of National Assembly Deputy Speaker at the end of the joint session of the Parliament. The Army Chief had an informal meeting with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MNA Rashid Godil in the chamber and inquired after his health and well-being. The Army Chief, however, declined to talk to media persons, saying, "I have always responded to you but today I will not."
General Sharif said the country's defence is in strong hands. "There is no need to worry about. Your guards are vigilant at the borders," he said. The Chiefs of the Armed Forces and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee saluted the Turkish President after he addressed the joint sitting.
