President, Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI), Masood Naqi has expressed reservations over Sindh government's announcement of public holiday on November 15. Naqi and members of others trade bodies said that such sudden announcement of holiday affects industrial activities directly and causes delay in fulfilment of export orders.
"Industrial production is already facing numbers of issues, and due to unexpected holidays announced by provincial government the situation becomes worse for the industrial activities," he added. He also reminded the government that former Sindh CM and provincial Minister for Labor and Workforce had assured the association that public holidays on provincial level would only be implemented in public sector, and will not affect industries, but this commitment was not fulfilled.
