A freelance photographer has died after being struck by a car during the Mare è Machja automobile rally in Corsica, local prosecutor Eric Bouillard confirmed on Saturday. The accident took place on Saturday morning, and the race was immediately stopped. The victim, named as 49-year-old Corsican Stephane Giraudi, died instantly after being mowed down by the speeding car as it came over a bump on the road.
