Adviser to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage, Irfan Siddiqui, called on Sindh Governor, former Justice Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui, at the Governor House on Saturday. He also felicitated the newly appointed Governor on assuming the office. Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui said that he would try his best to come up to the expectations.
He was of the view that concerted efforts should be undertaken for the promotion of Urdu, spreading the teachings of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and apprise the younger generations regarding these. Irfan Siddiqui hoped that keeping in view his vast experience; the new Governor would play an effective role for the promotion of national cohesion, improvement of law and order as well as for the resolution of the problems of the people. He also briefed the governor regarding the academic and literary institutions being run under him and also about the renovation of the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
