Pakistan has huge potential in poultry, livestock sectors

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed and Provincial Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development Sardar Husnain Bahdar Dareshek inaugurated the 20th International Poultry Expo at the Expo Center here on Thursday.

Provincial Advisor for Livestock and Dairy Development Faisal Hayat Jiwana, Chief Organizer International Poultry Expo (IPEX) Raza Mehmood Khursand, central chairman Pakistan Poultry Association Dr Muhammad Aslam, Secretary IPEX Maj (R) Syed Javed Hussain Bukhari, Vice Chancellor University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences Dr Talhat Naseer Pasha and investors and international delegations of southern America, Europe, Asia and middle East countries were also present.

The ministers visited stalls of machinery and equipments associated with poultry, generators, sensor push, poultry vaccine and feeds. They praised the standards of feeds producing for cattle and poultry.

They said, Pakistan had great potential in poultry as well as dairy developments sectors and the new government was committed to initiate measures for promotion of these sectors.

Earlier, organizers of the IPEX presented shields and souvenirs to the guest ministers.
