Egypt's GASC receives offers at vegetable oil tender

CAIRO: An Egyptian state purchase tender for soyoil drew a lowest offer of $699.21 per tonne for 30,000 tonnes, trade sources said on Tuesday.

The lowest offer for sunflower oil was $719.00 a tonne for 10,000 tonnes, traders said.

Egypt's state buyer GASC is seeking the vegetable oil for arrival Oct. 25-Nov. 10.

Results are expected to be announced later on Tuesday.

Traders gave the following breakdown of the offers presented at the tender in dollars per tonne, on a cost and freight basis, unless otherwise stated:

Glencore: 30,000 tonnes of soyoil at $725.00, and 12,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $730.00.
