Unidentified armed men gunned down a former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police here on Wednesday night. SSP Operations said that unknown miscreants sprayed bullets at vehicle of former DIG Qazi Wajid near his residence at Sariyab Road of Quetta killing him on the spot and fled after committing the crime. The body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities and the police after registering a case against unidentified murderers have started the investigation.
