LONDON: Europe's stock markets were mixed at open Wednesday, as the United States remained locked in a conflict over tariffs with China that is having global repercussions.
Frankfurt's benchmark DAX 30 index rose 0.2 percent to 12,826.70 points, while the Paris CAC 40 stock exchange was also up 0.2 percent at 5,520.33 points.
However London's FTSE 100 shares index opened 0.1 percent lower at 7,741.28 points.
