-The Federal government has released 81 percent (Rs 425.6 billion) under 2014-15 Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for various projects against total budgeted allocation of Rs 525 billion with two and half weeks for the end of the year. The government has released 80 % (Rs 81.6 billion) foreign assistance for development projects against total budgeted allocation of Rs 102.2 billion for on-going financial year.
According to the latest data released by Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, a total of Rs 80.5 billion has been released out of Rs 113.6 billion for National Highway Authority (NHA) while Rs 58 billion has been released for WAPDA (Power sector) out of Rs 66 billion budgeted for on going financial year. The government has released Rs 47 billion for various projects of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, out of its total allocation of Rs 59 billion that was budgeted under the PSDP for financial year 2014-15. An amount of Rs 24.612.14 billion has been released for Higher Education Commission (HEC) out of its total budgeted allocation of Rs 27 billion whereas Rs 42 billion has been released for Water and Power Division (Water Sector) out of its total budgeted allocation of Rs 46 billion for the current fiscal year.
The government released Rs 3.4 billion for Interior Division for which Rs 3.9 billion had been earmarked in the budget of the current year whereas Rs 882.7 million has been released for National Food Security and Research Division. A sum of Rs 583 million has been released for Planning, Development and Reform Division out of Rs 3.3 billion budgeted, the data revealed.
The government released Rs 31.4 billion for Railways Division for which Rs 39.57 billion was earmarked in the PSDP of current fiscal year. An amount of Rs 5 billion was released for the Cabinet Division out of its total allocation of Rs 5.8 billion, whereas Rs 5 billion has been released for Communications Division (other than NHA) out of the budgeted Rs 5.2 billion. A sum of Rs 363 million has been released for the Commerce Division out of its total allocation of Rs 363.7 million whereas out of the total budgeted allocation of Rs 17 billion for Finance Division, the government has so far released Rs 10.8 billion.
The government has released Rs 71.9 million for Narcotics Control Division out of its total budgeted funds of Rs 324 million. The government also released Rs 1.17 billion for Science and Technological Research Division and Rs 115 million for Textile Industry Division.
The government released Rs 12.3 billion for AJK projects out of its budgeted allocation of Rs 12.86 billion, Rs 8.95 billion for Gilgit-Baltistan out of its total budgeted allocation of Rs 9.2 billion and Rs 18.5 billion for SAFRON/FATA out of the total budgeted at Rs 19.1billion.
