Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) on Wednesday arranged a protest demonstration against killings of Muslims in Myanmar. Abdul Rahim Janoo, Senior Vice President, FPCCI & Chief Patron of REAP and Rafique Suleman, Chairman REAP drew the kind attention of the Prime Minister and the Chief of Army Staff toward the massacre of Muslims in Burma and requested them to take appropriate action to stop killings of innocent Muslims of Myanmar.
They also requested the government that as a sign of protest to close down the Embassy of Myanmar in Islamabad and stop all type of trade in Myanmar. They also appealed the United Nation Organisation (UNO) and Organisations of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) to play their role to stop bloodshed of Muslims in Myanmar. "We are here to show the solidarity with the Muslims of Myanmar and we also requested the United Nations and Government of Pakistan to use their influence to restrain Myanmar Government from doing such inhuman act and stop from such barbaric actions", said Rafique Suleman.
He said that Muslims in Myanmar are facing severe hardship of their lives, the massacre is being done in an organized way and they were stranded in the sea for many days and human rights champions are silent on the issue. "This is our religious responsibility to raise voice against killing of Muslims in Myanmar, therefore REAP has decided to start a campaign against this killing", he added Ikram Rajput Vice President FPCCI, Waheed Shah FPCCI, Javed Jillani MC Member REAP, Chela Ram Kewlani MC Member REAP, M. Usman Shaikh Ex-MC Member REAP, M. Anwer Mianoor Ex-Vice Chairman REAP, Haji Abdul Rauf Chappal, Syed Ghulam Haider, Muhammad Bashir, Inder Lal, Malik Zulfiqar, Dr Abdul Rahim and many other famous businessmen and leaders attended the protest.
