KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Thursday at 21,412.07 points with a positive change of 142.85 and volume of 89,621,400 shares. High and Low were 21,572.62 and 21,149.33 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 15 were up, 13 were down and 2 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 143,175,860 shares. Total companies traded were 340 of which 143 were positive, 163 were negative and 34 were unchanged.

Power Generation and Distribution was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 28,739,500 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 16,294,300 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Limited with a volume of 30,242,500 and price per share of 5.67 (0.49), Pakistan Int Bulk Terminal Ltd (R) with a volume of 14,483,000 and price per share of 0.97 (0.13), Pak Elektron Limited with a volume of 6,538,000 and price per share of 34.07 (-0.38).

The top three advancers were Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 160 and price per share of 2,230 (80.00), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 17,260 and price per share of 1,474.56 (26.73), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 160 and price per share of 1,436.99 (22.99).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 10,926 (-374.00), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,712 (-133.01), Sapphire Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 981.37 (-51.65).
