PML-N President addresses Karachiites in Lyari, Malir and Manzoor Colony

KARACHI: Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the PML - N President addressing a public meeting at Lyari here Tuesday has urged Karachiites to repose their confidence on a party that has a track record of bringing about development in other parts of the country including its largest province.
PML-N chief contesting from any constituency of Karachi, for the first time ever in his political career, during the forthcoming national election, was not short of tall claims and huge promises mainly focused on citizens's civic facilities related grievances.
Parts of Lyari, a stronghold of Pakistan Peoples Party, that falls in the NA 249 constituency also encompasses Bihar Colony as well other old city areas inhabited by diverse linguistic and ethnic groups.
The particular constituency is expected to witness a tough contest as people this time appear to be more inclined towards commitment and capacity of their representatives in terms of delivery.
PML-N attempting to be taking advantage of the disillusionment among the Karachiites in general are vying to sell their accomplishments in terms of infrastructure development at the areas they had been voted to power during previously held national polls.
Shahbaz Sharif repeatedly claimed his party to best positioned as a panacea for the ills faced by the citizens of the port city appealed the locals to vote for his party in large numbers so that their representatives, belonging to PML-N, in the national as well as provincial bodies could bring about the needed changes.
He later addressing similar meetings in Malir, Manzoor Colony and different other areas of the metropolis reiterated that water scarcity in general (what to talk of quality) coupled with almost non existent solid waste management as well as inadequate public transport facilities have emerged to be the major challenges.
"PML- N holds the will as well as the capacities to brave these challenges and get solved the problems faced by the people of Karachi," he said assuring that people would be served without any distinction.
He addressing the masses in different parts of the metropolis ridiculed PML-N opponents for focussing on non-issues and showing little interest towards the actual needs of the masses.
