LAHORE: Bullish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday, as it gained 18.05 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 2891.11 and closed at 2909.16 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 418,870 shares to close against previous turnover of 593,405 shares, showing a downward slide of 174,535 shares. While, out of the total 92 active scrips only 16 moved up, 64 remained equal and 12 shed values.
Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Fauji Fertilizer Company and Engro Corporation Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.85, Rs 2.23 and Re 0.66 respectively.
Habib Bank Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Kot Addu Power Company lost their per share value by Re 0.70, Re 0.60 and Re 0.50 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included National Bank of Pakistan with 59,790 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 50,547 shares and Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 50,527 shares.
