Rs 2.1mn looted from trader  

FAISALABAD: Robbers looted Rs 2.1 million from a trader in the area Nishatabad police station.

Police spokesman said here Monday that a local trader, Muhammad Zulfiqar resident of Gulistan Colony, along with his driver Arshad was going to Lahore in his car when four bandits riding on two motorcycles intercepted him near Edan Garden at Canal Road.

They snatched Rs 2.1 million in cash at gunpoint and escaped from the scene along with booty by hurling threats of dire consequences if raised alarm.

The police have registered a case and started investigation.
