LONDON: European stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index of major blue-chip companies down 0.2 percent at 7,692.11 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 added 0.1 percent to 12,857.16 points and the Paris CAC 40 grew 0.1 percent to 5,457.31, compared with the closing levels on Tuesday.
