ECP to allow int’l observers, media in general election process

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday reiterated its policy to allow international observers and international media as well as national observers to participate in the process of general election 2018.

In this regard, a detailed meeting is convened on June 11 (Monday), this was decided in a meeting which was held here Thursday under the chairmanship of Secretary ECP Babar Yaqoob in connection with participation of international observers in the general election 2018.

The meeting was attended by Additional Foreign Secretary, DG (UN) and DG (Europe).

The meeting reviewed the legal provision as per Election Act 2017.
