AMSTERDAM: The European Central Bank should end its bond purchasing program as soon as possible, the Dutch central bank president said on Wednesday.
Klaas Knot, who is also a member of the ECB's governing council, said inflation in the eurozone is approaching 2 percent and there was no reason to continue a quantitative easing program.
"That's why I and most market experts think it makes sense to herald the end of the bond purchasing programme quickly," he told lawmakers at a meeting in Dutch parliament.
