KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Wednesday at 22,622.23 points with a negative change of -108.77 and volume of 34,522,900 shares. High and Low were 22,795.53 and 22,572.44 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 7 were up, 23 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 77,526,210 shares. Total companies traded were 342 of which 131 were positive, 184 were negative and 27 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 12,831,600 shares. It was followed by Investment Banks/investment Co with a total traded volume of 9,335,500 shares.

The top three advancers were Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 360 and price per share of 1,822.50 (41.67), Punjab Oil Mills Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 296.99 (13.53), Biafo Industries Limited with a volume of 31,100 and price per share of 303.27 (13.52).

The top three decliners were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 80 and price per share of 2,165 (-75.00), Hinopak Motors Limited with a volume of 1,300 and price per share of 1,002.14 (-24.00), Shezan International Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 527.02 (-23.99).
